In a fresh twist in the Tirumala controversy, former chief vigilance and security officer of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devsthanam, Ramana Kumar has spoken exclusively to NewsX and has accused the former chief priest of the temple of misleading the investigation and alleged that the theory of the missing pink diamond was cooked up. The controversy now turned political with Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu hitting out Deekshitulu saying that all allegations by the priest are false & fabricated incidentally. The former chief priest Deekshitulu had earlier alleged that widespread financial irregularities were being perpetrated by the temple authorities and claimed that a rare 32 carrot pink diamond was allegedly missing from the diety’s necklace.
