Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW) officially started on Wednesday, May 30 with a
stylish press conference at East Miami, the official hotel partner.
The conference was focused on the imminent global recognition of Miami as a
fashion capital among New York, Milan, Paris and London since being named the
second largest fashion week in the United States. The exhibition provides an
exceptional platform for distinguished local, national and international designers to
showcase their high-end creations, positioning Miami as a leading world-class
fashion hub. Miami Fashion Week Runway Shows have always provided an
excellent inspiration for the latest resort trends.
The runway shows took place at the Ice Palace Film Studios later that evening,
where lavishly dressed guests experienced a runway by the creative students
of Miami Fashion Institute from Miami Dade College. The dynamic collections
included bold, colorful and futuristic clothing, setting the bar high for the next
generation of fashion aficionados.
One of the designers was Miami Dade College’s graduate Emmanuel Osmann, an
experienced Creative Designer with an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS
focused in Fashion/Apparel Design from Miami Dade College. He released his
graduation collection at the Miami Fashion Week under Miami Dade College,
focusing on sustainability and upcycling. His collection consisted of dark tones of
grey and purple, and contrasting hints of yellow. His collection was accessorized
with yellow crowns and KRUZIN footwear styles. Besides his apparel making
skills, Emmanuel has been teaching children and adults sketching, pattern making
and sewing at DesignLab.
The KRUZIN footwear seen in the show was sponsored by Alessandra Gold, the
designer of the brand. The shoes in the show include Crazy Horse Camo Black,
Crazy Horse Lo Camo Black, Crazy Horse Lo Camo Silver and Vera Silver.
KRUZIN is one of the first global sneaker brands with a woman designer. It is
designed in Miami and consists of sneakers for Men, Women and Kids.
