» About : American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy took to social media Sunday to tease the upcoming eighth season of his hit fox series American Horror Story, in a live Twitter session with stars Sarah Paulson and Emma Roberts. The showrunner, 52, chat about the upcoming series - a crossover between Murder House and Coven, with production set to commence shortly - as his series Pose was airing. He answered one fan's question about the return of actress Taissa Farmiga, who's played a number of roles in the anthology.Murphy, 27, told the fan that 'all the witches are being asked back.'Roberts told fans she would be reprising her role as Madison Montgomery, previously seen in the Coven season, with a clip of her in character, saying, 'Surprise b**** - bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.' Share this article Share Roberts was alluding to the two times her character had been slaughtered in Coven, by both Fiona (Jessica Lange) and Kyle (Evan Peters, who was also involved in the chat.)Paulson, 43, made clear she was confident the latest installment in the ongoing series would please its fans. 'I want you all to know that I think the first script for AHS8 is one of our best… can’t wait for you guys to see it!' said the actress, who's part of the Ocean's 8 ensemble cast.Murphy, speaking at a Television Critics Association event in January about the show, said 'it’s set in the near future' - and 'really chilling.''All I'll say about it is I want to go to the future - still topical, but the future, which I've never done,' he said, according to Entertainment Weekly. 'It has nothing to do with anything you’ve ever seen before.'He revealed that he'd pitched it to FX boss John Landgraf, who loved it but asked him not to reveal the details publicly.'I told him and he fell out of his chair with joy. I think people will like it, it’s different from what we’ve done before, but I always try and do the opposite of what I’ve done on that show.'
