» About : Today's entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins is the head of the Australian Eurovision jury for 2018.And Richard's latest interview with singer and contestant Jessica Mauboy has raised questions as to whether he has breached rules set for his prestigious position. The 63-year-old TV personality gushed about watching the star's dress rehearsal, claiming he and the other jurors agreed she 'nailed it'.'We don't have vision of the dress rehearsal, but I was with the jury in the secret bunker watching and you nailed it from where we were sitting,' Richard revealed.    In 2015, Richard revealed: 'The interesting thing is the judging is done on the dress rehearsal, not the actual televised show.' On Friday, the public will find out if the Pop A Bottle hit-maker will progress to the Eurovision's grand finale on Sunday. However, Richard's interview ahead of her televised performance has raised eyebrows as to whether he has broken any official rules for his juror role. The Eurovision Song Contest rules state: 'No member of a National Jury shall be connected in any way with any of the participating songs entered and/or artists performing in the ESC in such a way that they cannot vote in complete independence and impartiality.' However, SBS told TV Tonight the interview would have no impact on his abilities to be impartial. National Juries from each participating country make up 50 per cent of the total vote, and cannot vote for their own country's act. Jess appeared excited for her semi-final appearance, telling Richard she was 'living in the moment, enjoying it.' It’s the fourth year a competitor from Australia has taken part since Mauboy’s Australian Idol alumni Guy Sebastian became our first entrant in 2015.
